Golden Artist Acrylic Demonstration with Roy Kinzer

The Golden Artist Colors lecture/demo is a two hour presentation on acrylics paints, gels and mediums. It covers the different types of paints and pigments, viscosities, grounds and color mixing, with demonstrations of various gels and mediums. I use an example of my own work and discuss my process t cover a wide variety of products.
Learn how to use gels to extend paint and create unique textural surfaces, as well as how to create surfaces for watercolors, graphite, charcoal, pencil, and pastels. Two exiting new product lines will be introduced: Open, a slow drying acrylic paint; and Digital Mixed Media products that allow you to merge digital printing with paint. The lecture also covers the lightfast properties of pigments, proper acrylic priming techniques, and health and safety concerns. Free packet of literature and paint samples.
Roy Kinzer has an M.F.A. (Vermont College) and a Certificate of Art (Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art). He has exhibited extensively, including the Slater Museum in connecticut and the Montclair Art Museum in New Jersey. His current paintings are aerial landscapes derived from altered maps and satellite images. he received the prestigious Pollock-Krasner award 2004 and had his second solo exhibition at Denise Bibro Fine Art, NYC in April 2009.
